One of these days, I'll have real jackstands, instead of cinderblocks with 4 by 4's on top of them. :banghead:
!
If you have to use cinderblocks, make sure the holes go up and down and not side to side. With a chainsaw, you can make some pretty good fixed length jack stands from whatever kind of firewood you have that is hard to split. Down here it would be sweet gum trees. Elm, maybe apple, would prolly be good.
Yep, thought about the firewood thing. I've got some aged Sycamore here that I don't think you could split with a nuke.
BTW, the cinder blocks are full sized, and solid. No messing with holes. Then I have equal length pressure treated 4 by 4s, with foam padding on the side that goes up. (So I don't mar my baby) Works pretty well, but still real live jack stands would be nice.

For the pair, that ain't bad. They wouldn't happen to have BAW stamped on the sides, would they? That's what I just put on mine, and other than the bushings being a PITA, everything went together well. Now off to get an alignment, and then pack up for FM3!!
This kit is very nice and comes complete with two control arms, bushings, and new pinch bolts and nuts. They seem very sturdy and the ball joints don't flop around like my old ones, they're tight like a tiger. The brand is OE Parts sold by World Suspension. I would definitely recommend these for the price and quality.

i know this is an old thread but i was under the influence that the outer washer was to be set with the concave side away from the bushing. this one seems to be opposite. just wondering cuz i just did mine and had trouble keeping the concave washer from sliding around. this kit came with two washers, one concave, and the other flat with a lip. since my 93 L seems to have built in inner washers on the lca sway bar end. is one of these extra? cheers!
