    Need Non-engine Parts

    I've owned an 88 L model for over 20 years but am new to the world of maintenance issues (though I should have asked years ago). In my defense, the thing just keeps running and running and running.....


    Anyway, where in the heck do we go for non-engine parts? Are we relegated to stripping junk yard queens? Does anyone on FF.com buy/sell parts from one another? If so, where do we post requests for parts? If you've got a junker that can provide parts for an 88 L, lets talk!

    Need LOTS of little stuff like a new female seat belt buckle receptacle (will Ford still fix these for free due to the recall?), new inner door handle, dome light assembly, interior mirror, etc.

    Uhh you did check the FS/FT forum didnt you? Make sure you read the rules and then post a [WTB] thread with whatever items youre looking for there.

        There's also a thread in that section for either listing what you've found at a junkyard that someone else might want, or for listing what you would like others to look for the next time they are at a yard.

        And yeah, in answer to your original question, we are pretty much stuck with picking boneyard festivas apart.

              Lots of people here sell parts to others on the board, and either ship them or take 'em to a meet to hand over.

                      currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
                      94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.
