  • starter question

Is there a relay between the ignition switch and the starter?

Haynes makes no mention of one, but I suspect there is one. If this relay exists, where would it be and what would it look like?

    Thanks!

Would you not call the starter solenoid a type of relay?

and since when did relays have a physical connection to a starter motor???????

and since Timmmmaeh! did not say what his issue actually is,
and most likely he applied 12 volts to his starter and it worked,
so now he wants to know if there is something between the starter and the ignition switch
but most likely he will have to open his steering column to access the ignition switch assembly for replacement

          am i close?

                    or................
                    as in pwgus's case:
loose wire between headrest and steering wheel
