  • Park/Neutral Sensor

When i replaced my clutch, one of the wires broke off on the park/neutral sensor. What does this sensor do? and would it be ok to just put it back in as a plug as long as it isnt important? It broke off at the base of the wire so there is no way to solder it. Other than this hiccup the clutch job went well. A few more little things to hook up and its finaly done

Well if the neutral safety switch isn't hooked up, I can only thing of two things that could happen, not sure which though. Either the car just won't turn over when you go to start, or the car can turn over without the clutch pedal being pushed in, I'm not an expert so maybe someone else can shed some light on it.

the should be "the car just won't turn over when you go to start" that's if we're talking about the switch at the pedal itself. if it's the one on the trans, then i don't think you have anything to worry about as it's just a signal switch to the ECM.

hey, you're close enough, if you have any trouble, i'm available all day Thurs, you have my #, right?
