reroute front vents

Has anyone tried to reroute the heat so it comes out of the front vents? I've never had the ducting removed so don't know if this is possible, any ideas?

There's no space in the dash to do it.

However, don't let that stop you from proving me wrong....

I was planning on rerouting both floor vents to the centre console, with vacuum cleaner hose. Ugly but doable, but then someone decided that floor heat was better than dash heat
