  • MOOG tie rod ends

I'm doing an Aspire brake swap and getting new tie rod ends. The Aspire tie rod ends seem to be pricey compared to other models. I read that some people have used Escort TREs. Rockauto has MOOG TREs for a 95 Escort for $29 (MOOG Part # ES3048RL) and comes with a grease zerk fitting. Does anyone know if these will fit the Aspire parts? The MOOG TRE for the Aspire is $79.

I second that! But isn't it 90-94 escort tie rod ends you need? I can't remember right now...kinda late
Edit: I was wrong! I need sleep!

So MOOG Part # ES3048RL works instead of the Aspire tie rod end? I just want to make sure that someone else has used that exact part number. I also read that someone bought Escort TREs and they were too long and had to be cut.

I can't verify that exact part number, but I used '94 escort tie rod ends with my aspire swap and didn't have any problems. I saw the thread you are referring to about them being too long though....not sure if the reason behind that was ever figured out.
