  • VALVES DONE, NOW ABOUT THAT HEATER....

Did the valve adjustment, in fact I think I did all 10 12,000 mile interval adjustments from how loose they were.

Gonna work on the "heater" today- wish me luck.

I let you all know if I make any earth shattering breakthroughs.....

    Good luck!

That reminds me - I gotta do my valves, too!

Let us know if you make any life-altering discoveries...

Here's what I found with the heater....the flaps that "shut off" part of the heat going to the floor were not closing much and the gaskets on those were whooped. I adjusted the cable and lubed the whole works and I used some black duct tape to "adjust" the holes for the floor.

Also, the cable that moves the flap to mix the "hot" air with the cold was not adjusted. I adjusted it and the door closed all the way so no cold is mixed in.

I got tons of air to the defroster, now I'll need a cold day to see if the heat is any better. (tomorrow morning).

BTW- what a difference the valves made! They were making so much noise, the whole ride quieted down afterward. They were LOOSE! (ABOUT A QUARTER TURN OR MORE).
