little festy won't start so we were going to roll it out of the way and fix it later but couldn't get it out of park! With key turned and the brake pushed it still won't go into neutral, Any suggestions?

wont start, as in no battery juice? if so, you may need juice to get the interlock loose from the tranny. not sure, i have a manualIn the 90's we had Clinton in office. We also had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama in office and we have no Hope and no Cash.

You can manually shift an auto trans by disconnecting the shifter cable at the transmission, and then putting it in whichever gear you want, which in your case would be neutral so you can push it.
Or..
You can remove the center console and gain access to the shifter assembly, and remove the solenoid (what locks the shifter in park when your foot is off the brake) and you *should* be able to shift it then.-93' L BP swap/e-series, coilovers, RIO front swap, redrilled festy drums, Miata 14" 7 spokes.

check your fuses under the dash and the fusible link next to your battery
