Confidence will help you. You have 800+ active people here and 100's of top notch festiva fabricators/mechanics. It just sounds like you don't even wanna try to try to learn. If you don't just say someone come fix my lights. lol. If your not willing please give your car to someone the will fix it. What do you think forums are for?

wellllllllllllllllllllllll...file this under :you aint gonna believe this!!!!!!!

      Euro,

I go out this morning and turn the lights on.......NO DICE BRICE!!!!

So I flip the headlight switch on and off a couple times and still no dice!!!!

so i see a wire going into the steering column that goes to the switch and I wiggle it and boom the lights come on (dims and brights) and I stand there shakin my head and sayin "WTH"

needless to say they are working and I think me and my buddy "chief" and his son in law J.P. are gonna investigate this further (They're both back yard mechanics ....but they know their stuff!!!)

Joe, my #1 motto................don't overlook the obvious. Job well done All you gotta do is look around. See doesn't that make you feel good. Now be methodical, about seeing the problems and you'll find them. Glad YOU!!! got it fixed. Now on to the next problem/modification.

Joe, definitely don't scrap yard Ole Blue over and afternoon or maybe two of repair work. I am not overly mechanically inclined myself, and I have done things with/in/to my Festivas that would never have thought about with some other cars I have owned. Seriously, get a Haynes, grab some tools, and have at it. If, as you say, you are ready to scrap the car anyway, then what have you got to lose? Dive in!!

Of course, if you were closer to me, I'd be on my way over there with a Benjamin, but since that ain't the case, I say grab some tools and start tinkering.
