i don't know what temps you get there, but with a small amount of research (google, oils) you should be able to find the proper "winter"oil for up there. Mobil also makes a 0w-30, that you might look into. Synthetic is good for any engine, but more specifically for high performance engines. There are 4 types of oil. #1 Parafin based....#2 asphalt based....#3 semi-synthetic......#4 full synthetic..... I do not want to go into more detail of which is best but full synthetic is made in a lab, so it can withstand more extremes(temp,longevity,etc...). From my (NOTE I SAY MY) experience parafin based oil (quacker state, pennzoil) tends to form gunk. Ashalt based seems to handle heat better without gumming up (castor, texaco, havoline.....) But synthetic is the way to go. My stock b3 used alot of oil so i used synthetic oil that was drained from my other cars for it. But now it gets good oil period. My .02$, and 2k post

Congrats on the 2K post Greg.
I use Castrol 10W30 in most cars year round. Casper gets full synthetic tho.

Might want to add a Zocor tablet with each oil change.

Switching from Dinosaur to Synthetic do I have to do anything special to flush the old dinosaur oil out? or can I just do a normal oil change?

Nothing special. Just change it. I used rotella synthetic 5w-40. Takes the 4qt jug with the 2.5 v6 filter.

you can do a normal oil change nothing special needed, just rember that it is not recomended to down-grade after you up-grade.

Castrol GTX 15w40 Diesel oil. I use it year round, mainly because I get it for free from work, but also because the engine is horribly noisy with anything of a lesser viscosity in it... It sucks starting when its -30*c though...
