  • Torque converter bolts

I have an engine/transaxle hanging in the air. I've been staring at it off/on for several hours tyring to find the access to the torque converter bolts.

I know they're there, somewhere? Where is the access????????????

You have to remove the small cover at the bottom of the bellhousing. It is not part of the engine/trans plate it comes off seperate.

Well, I'm sure whatever it is, it's right in front of me and I didn't see it. Check it out in the morning. Thanks.

at the bottom right where the tranny and engine connect up, the oil pan butts up against it.

If that'd been a snake, it'd bit me. I guess you're telling me that thin plate between the transmission and block must split at about the pan rail? Top/bottom?

Yes that thin plate is the tranny cover, the bottom piece that you can see comes off separate from the rest thats sandwiched in between the engine and tranny
