  • Linkage problem

Didn't get any info in my other thread,so,here it is.Where the shift cable connects,it seems the hole where the pin goes thru is either worn out,or maybe there was a bushing in there ??? It is really sloppy/loose in the hole(sorry it sounds perverted)...Any one had this problem ? It makes it where you have to play with the shifter to get it in gear..What's the fix ?

i don't think there is a bushing in there. when i did my short shifter swap, i don't recall one. maybe try making some sort of rubber bushing if you need (or wrapping the bolt with electrical tape), or option 2 would be bore out the smaller hole and put a bigger bolt thru... but use a lock washer with that setup- b/c i didn't the first time and the nut fell off. thats what i'd suggest.

i can't view pics on this computer, so this is just going off of your description.

DO you have another shifter cable to compare it too? Might be why my shifter is sloppy also.
