  • Aspire brake swap - bleeding brakes issues

I did the Aspire brake swap yesterday and things went fairly smoothly. When I was done I bled the MC and then the brakes staring with the RR, then LR, then RF, and FL and then did each one again in the same pattern. They all worked fine except the front passenger side caliper. I have done it several times now, having to re-fill the fluid reservoir more than twice doing just that caliper and there is still air in the line. I checked all the lines and they seem to be okay. Couldn't find any leaks either. Any ideas?

Here are some pictures with the new brakes and wheels/tires. Wheels are American Racing 13x5.5" (38-mm) offset painted bronze and the tires are cheapo Kuhmo 175/70/13. The suspension has KYB gr2 shocks all around and the front springs have 2 coils cut and the rear springs have 1.5 coils cut. No rubbing at all with just myself. The side decal on the driver's side is an old decal from a 1st generation Celica that I was going to throw away and decided to put it on and see how it looks before throwing it away. Looks okay but it's all messed up so it's coming off today. If anyone has an idea as to why I can't get all the air out of the front-right side brake, please let me know.

Nice ride...I like the decal too. As far as the brakes just check all the connections, and make sure the copper washers are in place.

Sounds like it's sucking air somewhere. No signs of fluid leaking out? Like he said, tighten all connections.

My truck did this once had to replace the master cylinder to fix it... Wouldn't bleed out with a machine or by hand.. Hows your pedal feel?

Both copper washers are in place, and no signs of leaks. I don't see how the MC could be the problem since the other 3 were no problem to bleed. Also, the rear left and the front right should be in the same circuit so I would have problems with both, right? I'll remove the brake line and replace the copper washers hoping that they are leaking and I can't see it from the spilled brake fluid when I replaced the calipers.

yeah thats what i thought too and didn't know why it was a problem but that is what fixed it.. I replaced it and it began working after 3 more times pumping it.. If you cant find a leak you may want to try it.. You may just have a leak get that fluid up it likes to eat paint..

Thanks for the input. The brakes are spongy but not too bad. I'll drive it like this for a couple days and see if I can find a leak. If I don't, I'll replace the MC.
