How Do i Fix This Escort Gt Tranny Issue?

i need to put more fluid into my Escort gt tranny (in my festiva) its a 5spd from a 91 EGT

theres a little plastic sensor on top that comes off and a needle which leaves me with a hole about 1/8th of an inch big to put fluid down through into... it jsut isnt working and im sure more is supposed to come out like the festiva assembly with the plastic gear...

the problem is theres no tab like on the festiva unit (escort base piece is just round) and the lip on the edge of whats left is maybe 1/16th of an inch tall and WILL NOT budge... nor can i get underneath it... has anyone ever done this with an escort gt or anything like this?

Over on an escort board I heard of taking a 3/8" coarse thread tap and tapping that hole. Threading in a bolt. Then using a slide hammer to remove it.

Or a syringe to fill it through that little 1/8" hole.

you could use a turkey baster or you could go to a pharmacy and buy a syringe without the needle as mentioned. It may take some time but how often will you fill the tranny.
