  • Heater panel lighting

Most of my lights are out on my heater control panel and im wondering if they are replaceable. I started trying to pull it out but it doesnt come out very far with the cables attached. Anyone ever replace the lighting in these panels?

    Thanks

Most of my lights are out also but it is due to the wiring being loose or something. Could be the same situation for you. So you may want to check that.

Three #74 Bulbs. Two on top, one on the bottom. You will have to disconnect the cables, and pull out the control to reach them. A good pair of needle nose pliers to rotate the sockets will help too.

It might just be a wiring problem because mine come and go as they please I pulled it apart an it was just a loose connection

Down at the pivots on both sides of the heater box. Peel back the metal cradle holding the cable housings just enough to get them to pop out. Then carefully use a flat tip screwdriver to pop off the round coil of the cable itself. Note: set the controls all the way one direction or the other and make yourself a movie of their position to aid in snapping them back in the right place when you go to reassemble.

                Update

Want to thank M175 for the info on how to get the panel out. All of my lights were burned out, i replaced them gave them aand gave it a quick check, all was good so i put everything back together. Went to check it after reassembly and only the fan was lit up. Pulled it all back apart and when you moved the wires on the back of the panel the lights would come on. I pulled it apart again and it seemed that the bulb wires werent making good contact in the socket. I moved the wires on the bulb towards the ends and it seems to make much better contact now. Just thought i would mention it since alot of people mention loose wiring, it may just be bad contact between bulb and socket. Anyways thanks for all the assistance.

I have shaved some off the socket to tighten them up so they make better contact also. This holds true for the instrument cluster lights also.
