Looking forward to summer I would like to repair my ac in 90 Festiva. Air blows but not cold. I assume it is compressor? Any thoughts on what to try first for a cheap fix? I also heard there is a conversion thingy that you need so that freon is newer type? My son will do the repair just need some thoughts on any experiences you experts have encountered in regards to AC repair. I really will need ac for the summer around here Thanks all:glasses2:

You are most likely low on freon. Your best be would be to do a conversion to 134 freon. -
Cheapest way to check it is buy a conversion kit. They are $40 or so. Charge the system, and see if it works.-Greg
