  • Front wheel bearing longevity?

Does anyone have a ballpark idea of how long we can expect the original factory front wheel bearings to last? 200K miles, 150K?

If someone who isn't familiar w/Festiva's and/or who isn't paying attention during a bearing job, tosses or leaves out the preload spacer, then the new bearing's "lifetime" will be drastically reduced. Likely to a matter of a couple weeks!

No idea if they were original, but I just did my RF at 225K. I can tell you on Batstiva, I did both fronts at 120K and they are still on the car now, at 232K miles.

I wish you luck, but when they start to growl your not going to get another 33K out of them before they fail utterly.

Have needed to replace mine twice in 370k, so 150k is about right.
