I have a 89mazda 121(same as festiva) with the big canvas roof-and love it, unfortunatly rust does not sleep in finland.
My car and also my friends suffer from the same tank problem, over half a tank she leaks and stinks, I pulled off the back seat and lifted the inspection hatches, but the hose connections look good-rusty tank probably at the seam.
what to do?
new mazda tank 300 euros(ouch!)
new kia pride tank 170 euro(not too bad-but is it the same tank? Im carb and the kia is fuelie)
new aftermarket tank avail only from USA(by the time it is shipped here were up to the mazda price.
what does the festiva tank look like at the connections?
IS THE FUELIE THE SAME AS THE CARB TANK? CAN THE FUELIE TANK BE USED IN THE CARB CAR?
I see the filler, and 2 vent hoses to the canister, one small fuel hose and than in the senderunit another small hose,
a picture or measurements would help alot.
