Inner tie rod Q

Does anyone have a write up on how to replace your inner tie rod ends? I'm thinking about replacing mine, but I'm not sure how to...pics would be nice. I've already replaced the outer tie rods and the control arms.

I just replaced mine, it really wasn't that hard. All we used was a pickle fork and a 24mm (I think let me check after work) open ended wrench for the odd ball tools, everything else we used comes in a standard tool kit. It took us no more than an hour to do (in a shop and with a race car mechanic ). I would replace your outers also while you are there, that is what I did. O also bring some string and a tape measure so that you can realign it.

I already replaced the outer tie rod ends, but I don't know how to replace the inner tie rods where they connect to the rack and pinion system. do you have instructions on how to do it? Also, what you need to check that its done right?

there is a rolled pin on the inboard side does not go all the through that locks it on
if they have never been serviced before

there is a tool to remove that is a pain to use

i had the rack out of the car and used a tiny carbon steel burr to grind it out

Ive done it before, just drilled out the roll pin. They just unscrew after that. Put some thread lock on them when you reinstall.
