  • radiator smoking after doin donuts in the snow....

so i went to an empty parking lot to do some donuts and after doing a few donuts my car started smoking, from the radiatior. now it overheats when im idling sometimes and i dont think the cooling fan is working so i dont know if i did something to cause this problem or if the donuts simply enhanced a pre-existing problem. so i refilled the coolant which was low in the radiator and the reservoir and i let it idle for like 15 minutes and gave it gas which eventually brought up more white smoke. so i think i need to get my fan working, i dont know any ideas?

sounds like you ruptured a radiator tank, hose, or head gasket.

he didn't specify it was from the exhaust. My understanding it was from underhood.

anyway, white = coolant, blue = oil, black = excessive fuel

Things like that don't tend to fix thenselves.
That smoke was coming from something "burning" off!
Keep an eye on the temp gage.

If it's leaking coolant you should see it under the car. It could just be vapour from the overflow pipe. How is the level in the reservoir?

All my cars that i have the rad smoked and was white. I don't know why they do but all did after i put new antifreeze in them. I just let it go, but did watch the temp gauge tho. Haven't had a problem yet.
