O2 sensor and clutch issue

Here's the deal

Got a car, hasn't run since 01

Rebuilt it, runs good. Clutch won't disengage though. We tried tightening down the clutch cable all the way.. no differance. We even put a spacer on the cable to get some extra throw

Also, clutch looked vgood when it was apart, nothing looked broken and we replaced the throw out bearing

Any ideas?



Problem 2

O2 sensor wire.... there's a couple wires that are broken off.... one goes to the O2 sensor so were not sure where to plug it into. Is there a wire color or a link to a diagram

If you had it all apart, did you install the clutch backwards, I'm not sure of the symptoms, but I read on this site that someone had seen that problem before.

i'd say take a picture top looking down of your transmission where your clutch arm pivots so we can see what is "relaxed" and what is "compressed"..
also your pivot arm spring may need replaced..

Tranny is good, took it apart and reassemled it.. now its fine.. who knows

What color wire is the O2 sensor where it hooks to the car?

Faulty clutch disc or presure plate 2 faulty release lever shaft , release fork or release bearing 3 faulty shift lever assembly or shift rod 4faulty transaxle

Sometimes when a manual transmission car sits in a humid environment, the clutch disc will freeze/stick to the flywheel.

If you're satisfied the clutch linkage is adjusted properly you can try driving the car in a higher gear with the clutch pedal all the way in, alternately gooseing and letting off the throttle. I've not seen one that wouldn't break loose that way.

You can do that AFTER you're satisfied everything else is as it should be.

Need I say use caution driving a car without a properly working clutch?
