  • Did a tune-up

A few weeks ago I bought all the tune up parts from Pickproparts.com. Got all the Bosch tune-up parts, Goodyear alt. belt, fuel filter, KYB GR-2's and their Aspire brake pad incase I ever get the susp swapped.

Anyway my car was basically getting BTW 40 and 43mpg. The plugs turned out to be Autolite junk, almost no electrode left, 65 thou gap, crap wires and the cap and rotor were pretty burnt. New Bosch plugs were gapped at .044 I believe.

Car starts a lot easier, better off idle throttle response, etc. Hopefully my mileage won't go down because the car is running better.

PLugs alone can make a huge difference.

After about a year, my car ran like crap and gas mileage went down noticeably. Replacing the plugs put new life into the engine.

With this tuneup, you might hit 45 mpg or greater!

Autolite junk? I swear by Autolite, and wouldn't touch a Bosch plug with a 10 foot pole! That's from 11 years bad experiences with Bosch plugs....

I usually only use NGK. The bad thing I ever heard about Bosch back in the day was to stay away from the Platinums with certain cars.

Uh Oh, here we go again. The always exciting spark plug debate.

It's kind of like Ford Vs. Chevy, lots of opinion and no real winner.

                I think you mean Champion....

The only thing I've ever dared use Champions in are old Mopars and Briggs&Strattons...

Most of the motorcraft plugs are autolites with a different paint job.

used to be. Autolite and Motorcraft haven't had any relationship since the late 80s. Autolites are made in Mexico, Motorcrafts are made in Brazil. Autolite is an Allied Signal / Cooper brand, which Motorcraft has no ties to.
