  • Brake reservoir/mc leak?

Well, had my MC replaced and now I have a brake fluid leak where the reservoir mounts. It's bad as I have to keep checking or it will run out. Replaced the MC yet again, so its still leaking at the connection of res and mc. Do I have a bad res now? It was fine until the mc change. Did the guy that put it on, fubb it up?
It looks like the res just pushes down into the grommets on the mc, and held in place by that one little screw. What's going on? Anybody have this problem before?
    Thanks guys.....

BTW...its an 88 with a round res. I've seen some rectanglular ones on here.

        Thanks man!

For me it was basically one of those (to quote a Tool song) "consequences dictate a course of action" situations. I replaced the MC and was still going through tons of fluid. I looked through the help sections and online listings of every parts store I could think of and couldn't find squat for new grommets. Finally I just decided I was going to have to work with what I had and made some bushings to tighten the grommets up. It's been "fixed" for about a year now with no leaks.
