    is it just my car or do all festivas heat take forever to warm up mine takes about 8 min good driving to even start to get warm
    1989 Ford Ranger 177 2.9
    2001 hyundai accent 1.6 DOHC

    I believe it's just the way they are......my Festiva, (93 GL ATX), does the same thing. Boy my Neon and Stratus's are blowing warm air within 2 blocks of driving.

      yeah i think they're like it as well.

      even in the mild temperatures over here it takes a few miles to get up to temp. which is a bummer as i only takes me 12 mins to get to work. so by the time it's warmed up i'm at work.

        Every one I've ever driven is like that. I used to drive 60 miles one way when I was going to school. On days when the temp was well below 0°F, they never do get very warm, even if you have the front end covered up.

          People here have had some improvement with a piece of cardboard in fron of the radiator
          I will NOT drive a minivan

            Mine has always done the same, and partially blocking the radiator has worked well for me too

              My radiator is fully blocked. I also block the area to the left of the radiator where the A/C condenser goes. It helps quite a bit.
