  • Headlight glass refractor pattern

Has anyone else noticed that there are two different headlight lens refractor patterns? One has the side indicator(R or L) on the lower outside corner(next to corner lamp) and DOT marking on lower inside(next to grill), the other one has the L or R inside and DOT markings outside. It looks like they put out a similar light pattern, but there is a noticable difference looking at them- especially with the lights on. Is this a changeover by model year or is one aftermarket...?

Hmmm. Had never noticed that. You are now making me go out and look at my 89 and 90 to see if there's a difference. Hope you are happy.

Edit. I see no difference between the lights on my 89 and the lights on my 90, FWIW. Don't know if there's something different about the later models or not. :dontknow:

My guess is one is OEM and the other an aftermarket replacement.
