so if i got a 5 speed from a white nontach cluster on a FI car, and i have back up lights and cant start the car without depressing the clutch then my sensors are hooked up right? i dont have a tach, and my shift light has only ever come on when i first turn the key, even before the swap. so the shift light is the only thing that is inoperable with this 5 speed, correct? what is the best thing to do with the plug that comes from the car that there isnt a sensor for? leave it?

Yep - I would just tie it up out of the way. If the light comes on, then you would need to short the switch out to keep the light off. Usually a small piece of wire stuck into each of the contacts is enough to do the job.
Hey - By the way, you are going to love having that 5th gear. You should pick up another couple of miles to a galon on the highway. Engine RPMs drop to a tolerable level.
