  • gasket set

    hey i need some help i started tearin down my engine for a gasket make over it was leaking pretty bad. so i bought a kit now i got my cover off and many of the hoses from the carb got to the carb bolts got them off but the carb wont come off what is the prob. is the more then four bolts.

    another thing im nnot a mech im a body tech so all these steps are kind of overwhelming..

    IIRC, it's just the 4 bolts. I do recall having to tug at mine a bit after the bolts were out. Guess my gasket was sealed on pretty good. Yours might be as well.

      Yep. 4 bolts. Actually it's studs. You also want the heater (the black plate between the carb and manifold) to stay on the manifold.

          be careful not to break that plastic heating element that part is discontinued i had to get one from a junk yard when i broke mine when putting my car back together
