So I filled up the other day and noticed a strong smell of gas while driving away from the station, so automatically assumed there was a leak somewhere in the lines as per I did install a new gas tank not too long ago. I looked around and saw that the line running off the bottom of the tank kind of down the side,(which seems only to connect a line from the top and not actually go inside the tank) was dripping gas,,,not good. anyway I went and got some new fuel line and replaced the section which was only about 4 inches long, it was all metal line on either side, and the smell went away gradually, but not all. so sometimes usually only when my car is sitting and I get in it to start it up, I notice that scent again and it makes my head hurt , in physical and mental ways
it does seem like it is slowly getting better but I dont know why it isnt gone alltogether, i checked all the lines on top under the driver side trim carpet and they seem snug and no leaks apparent but it could be just that minuscule, so I hope I dont have to replace all the lines to remedy this but is there somewhere that I am not looking because it only seems to smell in the car like I said after it has been sitting. it makes me think that one of the lines running through the driver side has a leak in it, I do not smell it outside the car. Any help would be appreciated as always.
