So I needed to replace an intake valve guide. Don't ask lol. I ordered some and only had one option for intake and exhaust valves. Yes the valves are the same diameter. However the bottom of the guide is a different shape. Does anybody know if I can use the "exhaust guide" shaped guide? What is the difference? Maybe for airflow I'm guessing as the intake guide is more tapered at the bottom.

Is this for a B3? The B3 uses the same guide for intake and exhaust. The stem diameter is the same, just a different head diameter with the intake being slightly larger.
Are you saying the new guide is a different shape that the ones in the head now? This could simply be due to the replacement guide being sourced from a different supplier than the OEM guides(?).Comment
