    I think if you disconnect the negative battery cable it will reset it, but I may be wrong.

      yeah unplug the negative cable from battery and press brake for more than 5 seconds

      that comes from haynes 88-97 festiva & apsire

        Or unplug neg cable then turn on headlights. That will discharge any residual energy in the system and clear the ECU.

          Really!?!? thats a sweet piece of info just curious, why would you need to reset the ecu?? in my neon you could reset the ecu just by unplugging it or disconecting the neg batt cable and it would just throw away the engine codes for a limited time just so you wouldnt have a check engine light on (which i thought was kinda dumb) and you could also do a key dance and diagnose the problem by determining how flashes and pauses the check engine light does
