Just got my festiva

I'm new here. Hi

Got a lot of things I need to do to Kung Foo Jesus... 90 Festiva.

One of the first is getting the tranny to go to second. I think new bushings (bic pen I hear works wonders) and a shifter will be a good start until I find a beefier setup.

So, my question is, which years should I be looking at for a civic short throw shifter.

Welcome. The search button is your best friend. I think there are several threads on the shifter mods. Mine is stock, so I"m not sure which one they are using.
Also, edit your profile and add your location. There is probably someone close to you that could help if you need it.

Welcome aboard my friend. Make sure you do use the search function they will eat you alive lol. 88-00 is what I remember reading on the civic shifter so you should be good to go with that one. Being a man who has owned both cars I am certain the shifters are the same style atleast in both generation civics.

I use it.

Fear of the unknown makes me re-check stuff all to often. Must come from aircraft maintenance.

I can fix jets, but I know crap about cars.

Well, I ordered the shifter, we'll see if it fixes my problem.

Shifter moves all over, in every gear.... if that makes sense. Shifts to 2nd, but wont stay.

We'll see.

Ps. I drive the piss out of it, 1st to 3rd.
