B6T clutch/flywheel hitting on something

My swap is so close to being done, I got just about everything hooked up. I decided to hit the starter just to see if it was hooked up alright. It turned over but somethings clunking.

I turned it over with a wrench and every 90 degrees or so something hits inside the bell housing. It kinda sounds like its coming from the top-ish. If I push real hard I can break past it, I know not good to do. New clutch on a resurfaced flywheel in a G25MR.

Any ideas or suggestions before I start pulling it all back out? Think ill cry myself to sleep tonight lol.

Starter may be getting hung up maybe try tapping on it to make it go back in? Sounds like a fluke thing

did you check the throwout bearing? maybe a bolt got dropped in the bell housing?

Yea...that's what I'm fearing. But the every 90 degrees thing suggests something on the flywheel or pp...

Are there any bolts that go from the engine to the trans that go into there? Maybe I used a bolt that was too long?

Escort gt tranny/clutch? XR2 clutch/tranny/flywheel? They are slightly different in size.

Nope, trans/flywheel is xr2 and clutch is 323gt.
