  • carby or injected

    Hello ,

I'm wondering what carby I can get off some other car to replace the ones I have , or can I be directed to where and how to change a carby to suit my application.I dont mean how to bolt on /bolt off, i mean rejet etc. (I have no money so I'll do the work myself ,no business links please)
or how about I put an injected motor or just the injection gear onto my 1.3's would that be an option .Dunno since I have have mostly just done bolts up parts in the past . I have tons of time now since I been given charge of my kids and will be staying home for a bit longer. But the 3 festiva's I have in the yard don't have carbies on them (well one does but bits are missing and welded and plugged and cut ,god knows how it worked but they said it did, doesnt now) My festiva's are all WA's. One I wanna keep and quicken , one is auto / air cond that can be sold when i get the carby done and the last can be parts. Any advice , ideas (though I will be searching here, when i can afford internet time) and links would be helpful.thanks ... Simon..

    aluminum welding

Your best bet to to have the manifold welded drilled and tapped to accept another carby. The stock carb has a unique non-standard flange. There are other recent articles about this. Try searching for "carb". Good luck.
