My festiva(93 EFI) is not starting. It will crank but not fire. Battery connections are good fuses are good, ignition wires are tight. I'm in the process of checking for spark, but I can't find the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. It shows a picture of it in my Haynes on the passenger side of the rail, but there is nothing there. I was going to pull of the hose after the filter, but that seems a little unsafe. Anyone familiar with this?

Update on the no start issue.
So I've determined i have no fuel. I pulled the line at the rail and had no fuel come out when cranking. I pulled the hose beneath the filter and also have no fuel when cranking. I put a multimeter on the plug at the pump and I'm getting around 10 volts at both of the green/yellow wires(which if I'm reading the circuit diagram right is what powers the pump). I don't hear the pump whirring with the car's electrical system on at the filler cap. I checked the inertia switch. I pressed down on it hard and it wouldn't move, this means it is good right? Is there anything else electrical this could be before I go drop some money on a pump? It stopped running so suddenly, it seems odd the pump would be at fault.1993 Festiva GL

My '92L quit on me last month and replacing the fuel pump wasn't the answer. It was the "power relay" in the LF corner of my engine bay. However, it could be a couple other things, as explained in that thread.
Good luck!

Based upon what you've told us I betting on the pump.
They do just stop working, no notice of impending failure, at least in the three I've had experience with.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

I'm thinking pump now too. Just blew compressed air through the pressure line and it is not plugged. I thought about the relay, but I don't think if I had voltage at the pump, the relay could be bad. An unplugged inertia switch is also a good point, I will check that as well before I buy a new pump. I have the trim panel off anyway.1993 Festiva GL

yep it was the fuel pump. New one is in there. I just noticed that I didn't put that little brown piece that sits on top of the pump and holds the o-ring in place. Should I pull it again tomorrow to put it on or just leave it off? Thanks for the help everyone.1993 Festiva GL

Well, i put that brown piece back in there. Glad i did. It slid in pipe for the fuel line alot easier and now I don't worry that the oring will fall out of place. Again, thanks for the help everyone.1993 Festiva GL
