The single connector should be there unless someone cut it off, you just got to dig around until you find it, it will be with the other connectors by the brake booster.

I have a 91 and not yet. I just tried to jump that connector and no luck. I don't know what I am screwing up. But I just want to fix my car.

Don't give up. Are you grounding the single black female connector? Ground that out then with the key on(engine not running) watch the Check Engine Light Flash count the flashes. Long flashes are the first number and short flashes are the second number.

yea i won't this is my dd and of course it is running like crap and getting terrible mpg. ?So I was thinking it might be the o2 but with the light I want to make sure. I am not a parts swaper I like to know what is wrong with my car before I start changing parts. I am sure I will figure it out.

Whats your schedule for the next few days?
I'm temporarily in West Point, but working on replacing outer tie rods and rack boots.
Kind of busy tomorrow (Sunday) but what does Monday look like for you?
Maybe I can get over your way or maybe you can drop by here.

Maybe you could do whatever it takes to make the light come on and then immediately turn the ignition off and coast to the side of the road, where you can ground the connector and read the code.

If the problem is intermittent, perhaps the engine thinks the problem is fixed, turns off the light, and cancels the error reporting routine.

                              Pure speculation on my part.
