In trying to get the DS window to operate better, I completely removed the door glass (with suprisingly relative ease).
Removing the window regulator (the crank and movement mechanisms) was also very easy.
I thought I'd grease the cables and tracks of the regulator, so I looked for a way to disassemble it.
However, I quickly learned that there is some sort of spring or something window regulator, and it is not intended to be taken apart. It made a terrible noise as the spring unwound, and now the regulator is shot.
Word to the wise; although working on the windows is easy, don't try to take apart the window regulator.
$40 bucks later, I guess it will work easier, which was the goal all along.
