electric fan installation

wondering if anyone did a write up on installing aftermarket electric rad fans, searchd all week havent found anything, anyone able to use the stock fan wiring to do this or would i have to wire it to a 12v source , etc anyway if anyones got any info id appreciate it. thanks

you adding a fan? or yours is bad? would be easier probably to find a used one so you have the shroud and all.

i got the fan already, mine is bad im just using a slim one to get more room for my bp just wondering if i have to get a new thermostat and switch or if i can use stock ones

You should be able to use all the factory wiring and just connect the wires to the new fan. Can't think of any issues. If you have an aftermarket adjustable sensor and relay, you may be able to wire them in the factory wiring harness. The aftermarket relay probably works opposite of the way the factory one does.

i mean i could honestly just not have a fan and be fine since im running and auto radiator but i guess i have the fan anyway so id like to get it wired up, i dont know about running it on a constant 12v source because i wouldnt want to put the unneccessary stress on my alternator, im trying to help not hurt

motor is bad, i did all the tests to diagnose but thats cool cus i just am tossing the stock one, so yeah im pretty set on just using this aftermarket one i got

Claude I just ran mine from the stock plug. Just splice on some flat blade terminals in you can plug it in. Or since yours is bad cut the plug off of it and splice it onto the new fan. A BP needs a fan. Then it will function just like the stock fan.

cool thanks i was gonna pm you about it since i saw you used a similar fan on your setup, thats kinda what I was thinkin of doing just wasnt sure.
