    anybody can tell me why my temp gauge dont work ? 1988 festiva thanks

        you will see a single wire sender on the t-stat housing, that is the fan switch. Coming out of the wiring harness in the same location and to your left looking at the cylinder head near number 4 spark plug you will see another single wire sensor. That is the coolant temp sensor that operates the gauge. Hope that helps.

            years ago on my sunbird i was able to ground a sensor to keep the cooling fan running all of the time when the key was turned on and i wonder if i can do the same for the festiva?

              Why in the world would you want to keep the fan on all the time? Especially in a cold weather region? Put a switch in the cabin that you can control.

                  I believe all you have to do is unhook the wire from the fan switch on the tstat housing and it will come on and stay on.
                  The normal is not always normal... MOST is not ALL... And any job can be hard if you don't have the right tools!!!

                    Provided the system is working correctly.

                    No reason to have he fan on continuously if your cooling system is running as it should.
