  • B3 engine rebuild

I have rebuilt my engine with a set of new pistons and rings and new valve seals. The head gasket I bought is genuine but I noticed that there are some smaller holes missing. Does it makes any difference?

Also I noticed that the engine is a bit harder to crank now. Is this from new piston rings?

If i'm not mistaking, I think those holes are for the coolant to flow thru the head.

Yes I know but why the factory didn't make the holes on the gasket as well?

I want to ask how to properly break in a rebuilt engine. How should it be done? How long does it take?

        Thanks
