Ok best I can tell there was some air in the system seems to be working now.

Thanks for all the advice. When I get some extra cash I will be sure to donate

here is the guide for setting the cam timing.

You could have a plugged radiator. Take it to a radiator shop. They can clean the radiator and make sure it isn't plugged. It would be good to eliminate the radiator as a source of the problem.

I m going to have a new car by the time im done

Just called around no one seems to carry these things.

why does the fan only seem to turn on when I pull the sensor wire?

Car still over heating. It runs much better with timing advanced one notch but it over heats in 10 min. The radiator is full distiled water and antifreeze 50/50. I flushed it with hose lots of water ran.

    help 4 days

I did read post 20...Thank you very much sorry I am having a tough time understanding this timing Adj thing.

Is there a light or some tool I can use to insure timing is right.
How do I see marks on lower crank sprocket... do I have to remove the harmonic balancer? how do I do that?

    Hopemysentencesarecompleteandpunctuationisinorder

I am not convinced I have the vacuum lines in the right spots... could use a photo of them

    I have A Carbed version.

I don't have a ton of power going up hills, but I guess I never have it there any cure for this other then a b6?
Could you have the timing belt off one tooth? That'll affect the power.

yogaslackers, if you haven't got it yet I can take pictures of everything tomorrow in the light so you can see all the timing marks and what it should all look like.

I've been doing the same thing, and skinnypin you are right, it's kinda ridiculous when you gotta read the same post over and over and over again.

Someone should just seriously remove 1988redfordfestiva posts. Does not help at all when you got to keep rereading what he wrote to just be able to understand it. Very aggravating. I understand if you dont want to always worry about correct punctuation but he doesnt use any periods, commas, quotations or anything. Its as if he wants to make it difficult.

    we shouldn't have to.

I'll just start deleting them if he continues to ignore the requests for what should be common courtesy.
