  • Pulls to the left

I changed my passenger side lower control arm and now the car pulls to the left pretty bad. I forget which side tie rod end I need to adjust to correct, the wheels are toed in so which side do I adjust to correct the pull and toe?

    thanks guys!

I don't think it matters since it's the total toe that counts. If one side is adjusted more than the other then the steering rack will just be in a different location. Replacing the lower arm should not have effected the toe (unless you unscrewed a tie rod end for some reason). The caster/camber is probably off now, since you have a new ball joint and the sway bar bushings were "unseated".

That's just my thought, some one may have some other suggestions!

how do I adjust caster then? my toe was way off from the get go, the car had escort tie rod ends on it when I bought it and the jam nuts are all the way in and from what i measured the toe was 1-3/4" off. I have been adjusting the inner, this is all temporary till I can get a pair of the correct tie rod ends for it. I just don't want to eat another set of tires.

most likely it's your caster that's throwing off your steering, but having 1.75" of total toe is way too much (max would be .250", ideal at .065") get the right outers and check your LCA bushings.

You could try adding a big flat washer behind your lca/sway bar bushing. Looking at your sway bar where it goes through the lca you have in this order nut, washer, rubber bushing, rubber bushing, and washer. Change it to nut, washer, rubber bushing, rubber bushing, big flat washer, washer. This will push the wheel back toward the rear of the car and should make it track straighter, although you still need to do something about the toe.
          You gonna race that thing?

yeah I need to take the escrot tie rod ends off and put on the much shorter Aspire ones, and adjust my toe properly. I'm going to have a shop align it after I get all that jazz done properly.
