  • Dash clock losing time

    Hey everyone!

I got my dash clock wired up and all was good for about a week, but now my dash clock is losing time.

It keeps time fine when I'm driving, but overnight the clock will lose about 30-45 minutes.

Any ideas what could cause this? I'm pretty sure the wiring is OK. Maybe dirty battery terminals?

Turned out to a bad ground connection. Amazing what a headache one wire can cause...

I used the cigarette lighter ground.

When I wired it up, it looked like a solid connection, but the wire was actually loose and making poor contact.

          Reattaching it solved the problem.

So much for my time vortex theory.
