  • my rear strut purchase story

I need new rear struts so I had asked here if anyone had a used set and I got a few good people that offered to help me out but shipping was the killer as i am in canada.
SOOO I go to my local napa and get a price of $69 a strut then $89 the next day....?

I call up my buddy that works there and he says he can get me a set at cost but no reciept as if anyone finds out like a local shop they get in trouble, I care not for a reciept and tell him to see what he can do on price.

I buy 2 rear struts for $52 can!

Now I just have to get into the shop to change them.

Seems like it really helps when you know someone. I just use an account from one of the shops my dad use to work at and then pay cash for the parts when I pick them up.
