I have a 2-door 1991 Ford Festiva L. The blower is intermittent. Usually it will start blowing when I start the car first thing in the morning, and will work until I shut the car off, and will not start again. Then sometimes when I am driving it will start all by itself.

I have checked the fuses, and the switch. Where should I look for the problem now?

    Please Help!

the blower motor is located above the gas pedal and to the right.

held in by i believe (3) 8mm screws.

if it stops blowing, next time rap on the motor with a small hammer or the like, to see might start blowing again.

Actually, I tapped on the motor just like they told me, and guess what? It came right on... So that works if you're having trouble as well.

        Good Luck!

Ive had the same problem on a few different cars like that. It has always ended up being a bad ground somewhere. on my 88 Blazer I had to take it all apart and re rivet the ground wire for the motor to the motor housing. I haven't taken a Festiva one apart yet but its something to think about

yeah just replace the motor. save yourself some hassle. if ya gotta pull the dash (not sure) then i found a offest preke wrench that they sell at advance auto parts works great to pull out the top bolts by the windshield.

why in the world did you have to pull the dash??????????????

the blower motor is accessed from underneath, next to the gas pedal.
