transmission case

So i pulled my 5spd tranny to replasce the bearing on the back of the input shaft and now having difficulty getting the case back together i get it about an inch to being back together and it wont go no more kinda stuck broke one case dont wanna break another

did you take the balls out? they are near the gear shafts, they are fed back into holes covered by bolts once its back together. there about pea sized balls..

never mind i got it.... it just took some more jigglin and some more tappin with the rubber mallet and it went

I hope u put some sealant and cleaned the out side of the trans casing will help out in the long run...

samee issue but i cant figure out the balls going in? is it ball then spring or spring then ball?
