crank shaft timing?

the gears on the crank shaft have two settings on each one to either I or E which one are they supposed to be on? just look at yours and tell me.

This is for a BP, right? I on the intake cam, E on the exhaust cam. Double check by looking at cylinder 1 valves (should be fully closed). I think both cams lobes are pointing out. Did you download the manual?

ya i downloaded it but if you take the bolts off and take the gear off the cam shafts there is a pin type thing on it where you can put it in two positions and i cant find that on there. i might be over looking it but ill try again.
