I would say you're going to buy a new MC and just use the new reservoir that it comes with and keep the MC for future use or sell it.
Here's a story for ya....one time i needed to buy one for my Mustang because i broke the return line nipple off. I called around everywhere and couldn't find even a used one so i called a Ford stealership and told them i just need a reservoir. They quoted me $87. I almost dropped the phone. So i said hey do you realize i can buy a rebuilt pump that comes with a new reservoir for $35? He says yeah but that's just a "rebuilt POS". I said buddy they don't rebuild the plastic reservoir and that's all i need. I ended up just swapping out the whole new rebuilt unit and it's still on my car today, and has a lifetime warranty on top of it.
