  • difference in timing brlt sets

I have searched but could not find an answer, is there a difference in timing belt sets between the 88 and 89 engines and later engines? The part numbers for the early engines and the later engines are different.

According to AZ, the belts have different parts numbers, but the specs are the same except for the weight of the belt, but I don't see why they wouldn't interchange.

If the belt listed for the later Festivas is the heavier one, probably it is a reliability upgrade.

Agreed, I think I will go with the later Festiva one. Thanks for the replies.
