Speedometer not working

Couldn't see how it lined up, its out front in the dark... scary!

If it runs fine with a drill.
Only messes up when installed.

I would say it has something to do on the transmission side only. Give it a gentle twist in the housing, see if you feel tension one way or the other. If so, I would bottom it out, then back off just a bit. I had mine out, put it back exactly same position as it came out.

I did notice that it tends to twist a little when I try to install it. It's usually out of place by the time I get the hold down bolt there.
