Okay, so after giving my rims a good cleaning, it allowed me to go through all 360 degrees of each wheel and realize that they're (OMG!) used, and need a little reconditioning. Nothing a good company can't handle, for sure! Just a few small warps in the rim here & there... Very possibly not anything that would keep my tires from going flat while using them, but if I'm going through this much to get this swap done, I want these things to be straight! Anybody here know of a GOOD company to get this done? There are a lot of wheel sales places here that would probably recommend "Sam John down in the holler" that "has a big ol' hammer that'll work," but... Yeah.

They're Enkei aluminum wheels, and the damage is minimal. They look like BBS wheels but they're gold with a polished aluminum lip. There are a few small places where it looks as though someone used "the bars" to pull a tire off, and there are the normal scratches. I got the rims for $150 so the cost factor at this point would just be like spending the rest of what a set of rims would have cost me...In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

There is a place in Greenville that does this kind of work. They did my snowflake rims on my 1978 Trans Am I had at the time. They repaired the road rash, polished the edges back and repainted the the middle parts of the rims, plus remounted the tires. They looked factory fresh. At the time they charged $100.00 a rim, which was four years ago. You can contact Kings Kustomizing in Easley at 864-442-0375 and they can tell you the name of the company and most likely give you their number, they are a local company located in Greenville , but I can't remember their name or number. Hope this helps.1960 willys pickup
